Winter 2005 Newsletter
At this meeting we will be asking for reactions to the idea of CAERS sponsoring a special meeting on some aspect of estuarine and near-coastal ecology of interest to resources managers and scientists.
We seek nominations for President-elect and secretarytreasurer. If you are interested in running for either of these offices (or know someone who is), please let me know (brown.randall@ comcast.net) by March 1 and include a brief CV. The CVs will be posted and voting will be by email. The results will be announced at the 2005 business meeting. If you nominate someone, please make sure the person is interested in running for the office. If you have any questions about the responsibilities of these two positions, please contact me (Randy Brown) by email or phone - 916.961.5449. The positions are for two years beginning October 2005.
The changing of the guard will officially occur at this fall's international ERF conference in Norfolk. Wim Kimmerer will move into the president slot, and I will stay on the Executive Board as past president.
