The People Behind the Program

For those of you who have never had the honor of developing an ERF Conference program (or any other large scale conference program) it all seems easy. And the ERF 2003 Program Co-Chairs and their diligent committee have made it appear so. In fact it is hard as well as exhilarating work. I want to acknowledge the work already done by these folks and remember the long road ahead to September 2003. In particular co-chairs Si Simenstad and Steve Bollens have put in long hours and burned many brain cells. Jim Brennan and Alan Mearns are running their own committees on posters and workshops respectively, as well as contributing to the overall program design. The other Program Committee members deserve praise for their attention to detail and their ability to encourage their colleagues to participate!
