The Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Network’s 2003 All Scientists Meeting will be held in Seattle from September 18-21 in association with the biannual conference of the Estuarine Research Federation. There will be a joint session with ERF (Long-term and Large-scale Patterns in Coastal and Freshwater Aquatic Ecosystems) on the afternoon of Thursday, September 18; the LTER meeting officially begins on Friday, September 19. Members of both groups will enjoy a joint reception on Thursday evening. The LTER meeting will continue through Sunday. ERF members are encouraged to stay for the LTER meeting. Friday’s keynote address, “Synthesis and Collaboration: The Tools and Culture of Information Sharing” will be delivered by Dr. O.J. Reichman, Director, National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis. Dr. Anne Giblin of the Ecosystems Center will deliver Friday’s plenary address.
