Assistant Professor in Marine Biology
The University of New Haven has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Marine Biology beginning fall semester 2010. Applications are welcome from any field of marine botany / marine phycology including, but not limited to mariculture, physiological ecology, ecology, genetics, and biochemistry. Expertise in tropical systems would be beneficial. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, the potential to develop an externally-funded research program, and a publication record. Other responsibilities include a program of scholarly activity, student advising, committee service, and participation in departmental activities. Ph.D. is required.
