WWW Site Design Overview

The Estuarine Research Federation site on the World Wide Web has been designed so that in most cases any page is within one or two selections from any other page. Text buttons on the top left of each page link to the top page and all the pages which can be accessed from the top page.

There are 10 main headings which lead you to the content at the ERF web site. These are described below.

About ERF
This page provides basic information about the mission and structure of the Federation, plus names and contact information for representatives of the Federation.

Newsletter
This page is your Internet companion to the Estuarine Research Federation newsletter. Look here for some of the newsletter content, plus expansions to come stories which could not be accomodated in the newsletter.

Journal
This page is your internet link to the Federation's journal, Estuaries. Look here for the contents of upcoming issues of the journal, contact information for authors of upcoming articles, current instructions to authors, and other important information about the journal.

Education
This is your internet resource to access the education oriented services and activities of the Federation.

ERF Membership
This page is your destination if you are interested in becoming a member of ERF, one of its regional affiliate societies, or if you want to change or renew your membership. Here you can join ERF on-line, and find out more information about various membership options.

Membership Directory
Use this page to search the ERF membership directory for a name and their contact information. This is your ERF rolodex!

Meetings
This page links you to the calendar of upcoming meetings which have been submitted to the site. In addition, links are provided to information about past and upcoming ERF conferences.

Bulletin Board
This page is your link to notes which have been submitted to the ERF WWW site for posting. Unlike the Web Edition Newsletter, which is updated in tandem with new issues of the newsletter, the bulletin board is updated constantly, as submissions are received.

Jobs
This page provides links to coastal science oriented job listing pages around cyberspace and provides a continually updated posting of annoucements which are gathered from list-serves and submitted directly to the ERF site.
