When making your travel arrangements, you’ll want to fly into Ezeiza, Buenos Aires Airport.
Although there is a domestic airport in Mar del Plata, you can only fly to Mar del Plata by taking a flight from the domestic airport Aeroparque Jorge Newbery which is located 28 miles away from Ezeiza. Though that is an option, the best way to travel from Buenos Aires to Mar del Plata is by bus. You’ll experience the countryside as you travel South and you have a couple options.

Upon arriving in Mar del Plata, you may request that the booth attendant at the Manuel Tienda Leon bus terminal call a taxi cab for you.
From Ezeiza you may also take a taxi to Retiro Bus Station and catch a bus from several bus companies leaving every hour to Mar del Plata. You will arrive at Terminal Mar del Plata where you can then hail for a taxi cab to your hotel.
